Exclamation Help! My Car Was Keyed!

Either I pi$$ed someone off or someone was just bored. I washed my car Friday so I know there were no scratchs when I parked my car. Sat. morning I see that some dumb*** keyed the hell out of my car. So I need some help... Anyone know of any products that will restore the clearcoat in the areas where it was keyed? I can't get it repainted... My insureance won't cover this repair for some reason. Can someone point me in the right direction??
Thanks!
L8R, Shado

What about a touch up paint. It might help. Show me a pic maybe I can show you how to remove the scratch.

be very careful if you try to use touch up paint, you might make it look 10x worse..
try getting it buffed out at a body shop or detailing place!

Here is the deal...

General rule of thumb: If the scratch is deep enough to catch your fingernail is should be repainted. If not, then just the clear coat got scratched and some rubbing compound should make it go away...Just go easy with the compound though...it does leave a finish different than the rest of the car.

I Know How You Feel It Cost Me $1,100.00 To Get My Key Scratch Redone. I Got Hit From The Tail Light To Driver Door. They Had To Repaint The Whole Side Of My Car..........all The Trim And Door Handles Had To Be Removed So The Clear Coat Would Not Flake Off....

Pics of the keying.

Here are the pics, please help.... I already tried 3 different rubbing compounds. Mother's California Gold Scratch Repair, Kit Scratch Out, and Scratch X. The Mother's works the best on the two shallow scratchs but not one even begins to concure the deep one that does catch my fingernail. I can't afford to take it to get repainted and insurance deductable is $500 so they won't cover it. Any help or suggestions would be great.
Thanks!

you need to have someone professionally buff the car. the last two look like they definitely can be removed with a buffer. pay someone who knows what they are doing. also, they will be able to tell you if the scratches can be removed by buffing. pm me with your phone # if you want to talk more about possible solutions. i had the same prob. w/my 3rd gen rx-7 and was able to repair it rather than repainting.

Rubbing compound is good enough. I use 3M Perfect II Rubbing Compound. OR if you're not sure what to do, I suggest go to your nearest Auto Body Store and ask them what product you should use.

Ive had to remove many scratches working at a restoration shop. The best way to do it is to color sand the scratched area with 1500 and then 2000 grit wet/dry. You then buff it out with some compound and then hit it with a foam pad and polishing compund. Use an electric buffer with meguirs rubbing compund and then 3m polishing compund. You can just take it to a good detailing place and they will do the same.
