We gotta do my headlights this weekend now.
Black out tail lights as well?
My 04 Lancer came with the headlights already blacked out. I have seen the ES and LS 04's and their headlights are all chromed. I was wondering why mine were black. My question however is, Can I black out my tail lights? The lens is clear and there are two red circle lenses inside for the brake lights. Do I follow the same instructions to black them out?
Thanks!

Blacked out from the factory headlights.
Factory tail lights, Can they blacked out also?
Thanks!

i was thinking that? like if someone can paint headlights, why dont they just paint them to match the color of their car? sorta like projectors? ANd then tailights? paint to match as well?

yo dont try the tails.. haha.. i tried the sam headlight procedure.. yeaaaa.. looks like its dripping.. haha the oven melted the **** out of the taillight.. theres gotta be away to get em open
Ya, I had an extra set of stock tails and Eric (blacklancer03) tried to heat em and they just melted. Maybe if you did it on lesser heat it would work?? We should try the other tailight.
Ive done the headlights myself and I just wanted to add a couple things, first off you dont need two people I did it by myself, second you need to get a high heat paint because the headlights get hotter than hell and will melt the paint if its not made for high heat. Ive seen a write up on how to do tail lights, its much more complicated because the clear lens cracks very easily so it takes much longer to do those
