maaco isnt so bad my friend who owns a Mirage with a EVO IV bodykit had his whole car painted there and he won like 4th place for best paint job at HIN. Well i dont think he went with the $300 package but none the less.

I had my s10 blazer painted at Maaco... It turned out nice. I went for the better paint, which I think came to about $500. I also had them fill a couple spots and pull out a small dent. If you do all the prep work first and take it to them for just the paint, its a killer deal and will do you just fine.

My friend got his Bronco II painted at Maaco and he's had it that way for almost two years and it looks great. He has one sratch in the paint but that was some idiot's fault. He paid 400 bucks for the whole car.

The difference between an expensive paint job and a cheap paint job is the labor...
Check a maaco paint job - they simply mask off where you don't want paint and spary the whole damn car. Good places peel off and disassemble the car and paint it section by section, with a MUCH lower chance of overspray whree you don't want it. Next time you look at a showcar, look underneath the car or the wheel wells - that tells you how careful they were.

The thing I don't understand about Maaco is that why they charge 300-500 dollars for the whole car and 250 dollars for just the front bumper kit itself??? Cuz last time, I asked them for an estimate and they told 250 dollars for just the front bumper. Is that stupid?

Yeah I know. That was before when I didn't have any tools and materials for painting. I actually painted my EVO VII kit. My dad's friend who own a body shop (25 yrs pro) in the Philippines taught me how to paint and stuff. So, I know how to paint.hehe. Actually, I'm gonna take Auto Collision and Repair course for this fall to get a certification so that I'll be able to apply in one of Mitsubishi Dealer here.Originally Posted by blacklancer03

let me know when your ready to paint it... lets do it on a fri, sat, sun somethin like that
That's perfect.Exactly what I was thinking Fri/Sat/Sun.Only a few problems though.I work Fri mornings till about 2:30. So I wouldn't be able to leave here till about then. Also I work all day on Sat.I probly can get get out of that and work till 2:30 again like Fri.I'm off Sun so that's fine.
So how would we do this do you want me to just bring the kit or my car and the kit? Do you want would I have to leave my car with you for that whole time when I'm not there? I don't really know how to install everthing would you do that for me too or help me do it? Let me know.

ive heard/ and how i did mine/ thats its easy to do it with the kit off... so you could bring your kit to me and let me paint it and then you could come back and well throw it on.. the front bolts right on.. the sides.. i had to sit there and hold them on.. and the back is a biotch but took like 2 hours.. haha so $425... with it painted and installed?? hehe gota make a lil money fo my car.
it is nice that we help each other out....good looking for other lancers blacklancer03
