i asked for a quote to do my fb,rb,ss, and hood and the guy said it'd be about $400 for all prepping, priming, and painting and for him to buy the paint (cause he can get a discount for being a painter).

You are looking at 1000 bucks... painting and fitting in a professional body shop the only reason I am holding from getting a kit

Can we get a general price quote then for painting one of the accolade kits? I imagine it'd be about the same price for all the kits. I'd be seriously interested in it if price is reasonable.

Est cost

4 Piece Kit (front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper) = $450-$500

Hood = $250-$350

Spoiler = $65-$85

Est. Total: $765.00 - $935.00

If you're gonna reach almost 1000 dollars for the kit. Man, what I would do is look for some body shop that offers $1500 to paint the whole car. If you live here in my area or close to my area, I will charge you $500 for the whole car.hehe. It's better that way, it's not only the kit but the entire car. By that, you will have a new great looking paint.

gotta keep in mind prices differ in paint process, materials, labor time and quality [how many coats of primer? clear? paint?] last i had my civic hatch painted i paid over 2k for the paint job! yep...i had it done by a original low rider shop here in east LA top quality work no corner untouched and used all PPG products got a nice candy apple red paint job with gold under it to give it a sparkle and darker/browner red rather than a bright red color. paint process took about a month.

Maaco (Might as well paint it yourself with rattle cans) = $300 for the whole car

Crappy Body Shop X = $600 for the whole car

Awesome Body Shop Y = $1400 for the whole car

As Vince (DriftRunSir) said, depends on materials used and how much of it as well as labor price and quality.

I heard of that MAACO offering a 300 dollar paint for the whole car a while ago. Is that really true?

It's true, i had an old car painted there before i gave it to someone. It did not include ANY body-fill or extra prep, and it started totally falling apart (the paint) after about 1 1/2 years. CR*P
