Should I paint my rims??? Opinions needed! Pics!

I have the stock 15 inch OZ rims on the car for now. I dont have the cash this season to buy any new ones, so I think I wanna have them painted or powder coated a diffeent color. The only problem I have is that I dont know what color to do. I have been concidering a dark bronze, gunmetal, or even a little darker than stock. In doing so, I would obviously be removeing the "OZ" sticker off of the spokes and it is going to be replaced with carbon fiber vinyl that will be cut exactly to the size they are now and placed in the stock location. Please lemme know what suggestions you hvae. I know I need new rims, so you dont need to remind me. Thanx in advance!

Here's a pic of what my ride looks lik as of now!

As Always,
~ Nick ~

If you can find someone to paint them for a good price I say paint them....I had my 17" Tenzo's painted black for $80!!!!! That is for all 4 not just 1....great price and completely changes the look of them

Here are the before and afters...I think it looks better, hope this helps

I agree also! There's tons of places to get good deals on wheel packages, so I'd say hold off. That's money toward your wheel fund.

I am going to be getting new rims. But the only thing is that when I buy some, they are soing to be the ones I really want. I dont wanna settle for something........you know. I am either going to get the D-1 Carbon Fiber racing rims in 17's or stick with the more JDM look and go with a set of Volk LE37T's in a light weight 16 inch. I'm not quite sure what direction I wanna go just yet.......

Well where I live it's all chrome and flashy, hummers on dubs, imapalas on dubs, stretch excursions, etc. Seen maybe 2 cars with black rims, and I don't like them at all. They look... dirty. I like shiny and clean.

i wouldnt of done them in the gunmetal/black color...if anythin you should of done them your yellow with polished lip n polished ends... jus my opinion...but ya back on topic, go to a paintshop round u n get aerosal of a custom color n spray em n clear em...itll be cheap n nice lookin till u get ur rims...

Well if you do paint them I think gunmetal would be a good choice. Personally I would follow just about everyones advice and leave them alone and save up for new rims.
