I emailed APC about producing projector headlights. Here is the mail from APC

Dear John:

Thank you for your interest in APC and our products. In order to build these taillights I will need approximately 5000 orders at a rate of $450.00 per set. The tooling for headlights and testing through DOT is very expensive and time consuming. If we can round up this many members and they will prepay and can wait 8-10 months to go through tooling and testing, we can look into building this product for you.

hahha I know, they are tripping. BTW the guy meant headlights hehehe

Does this guy think that could really happen? Or does he not want to do it and tell you to try and do something that would pretty much be impossible?

 

I guess so, that guy is crazy, he rather make those lights for hondas.

 

i think he was just being a jacka$$ and a jerk bc he could care less.

 

i have actually talked with some representatives from APC personally and they are actually beginning work on some parts for the lancer. im not a big fan of their products, as they are cheaply produced. at the time i spoke with the reps they did not have any products for the lancer. im not sure if they do now or not. i dont really keep tabs on APC, but i do know that they are going to release products i am just not sure what.

 

tim, you have any experience in this area?

 

I would buy one from them if they have p.headlights

 

lol yeah idk about apc, i see thier products all over the mexican cars around here. cheap stuff if u ask me.

 

I know, just cheap stuff that you could easily find APC part from local auto parts store.

he was jsut stereotyping the choice of cars and manner that they mod them.

and if we want to get a company to make projectors for the lancer lets not try and get ppl like apc and obx to make them. depo and tyc are more the companys that i would want to buy from.
