Run a search on this. Theres a thread somewhere which has step by step instructions on how to do it. Basically its sand, primer, paint and then if you want gloss.

okay well right now im on s tight budget...so i ecided let me try some of that "paint adhesive" stuff. it says it allows paint to stick to most automotive surfaces. so yeah im gonna try that then paint it....ill see how that looks. ill tsake pics to show to. if it looks like crap then monday my next day off ill do all the sanding and primering and ****. but right now also me and my friend are in the middle of a DIY side skirt paint and primer for his civic ex coupe 2000so hes got alot of **** for it

I can't really believe that a paint adhesive that's used before you paint is any cheaper than some 200 grit paper.... esp if your boy already has the stuff to paint a bodykit.... good luck with it though...
