Do your own body repair??

Just a quick question, has anyone done their own body repair for minor dents and dings? (This does not incluse painting, I'm talking just getting the dents out without having to repaint) Cuz I have two or three dents near my wheel wells that seem like it would be pretty easy to do on my own, but I wanna know if anyone else has done this and if it is as easy as it seems?

i have a few dents on my car as well, but no idea how to remove them. people tell me a plunger will work, but i'd rather have something a little less "hillbilly"

I took out a big one that I had in the rear bumper on the cornor. I took off the bumper and Hamered it out. I had to use heat with the hamering to soften up the poly urthayne. I was lucky that thre was a lot of flex in the paint in that area. You have to be really carefull expecially on dents on metal pannels because the paint doenst have any flex added to it. It can bubble or chip when you take them out. If it is a nice round even dent then you can use a dent puller (suction cup style) or a plunger. If the dent has any creases you will have to get repainted. It is best to have a professional to seal with this type of dents.
