Evo Strut in Lancer?

Well, my sister in-law has a Lancer ES. So I decided to find out if my EVO 7 struts would fit in to the Lancer front suspension ..............well guess what all you lancer owners, THEY FIT! . They bolt right up to the stock location of the Lancer. The ride height is the exact same as the stock height, with a lot stiffer ride. Alll you will have to do is order struts from an Evo 8 and maybe springs and your set. I have attatch pic for your convenience

wow..really?? im guessing the one on the left is the Evo7 strut set..that's pretty good info..but are u sure they fit? did u try to fit them and drive with them yet? this would be a great upgrade for me
-Bob

EDIT: i just looked at the pic again..the top part in the middle of the Evo strut seems to be bigger than than the stock lancer one..unless the strut tower has a big enough opening, it won't fit? i wanna see the strut on our lancer..for confirmation

Do you know for sure if the Evo 7 and Evo 8 will use the same suspension? Also, what about rear suspension? I'm not too familiar with the Evo's rear suspension, but is it plausible that the Evo 8's rear suspension can be a drop-in replacement for the Lancers?

I am positive that the Evo7 is the same as the Evo8. As for the rear, you guys are on your own. The rear from any AWD vehicle will not fit into any FWD. Unless you can cut and weld a lot of suspension supports and brackets. There is a big difference when replacing the front struts. I work at a Mitsu dealer, thats how I know
