HAWK HPS Pads

Hello All,

I've tried to get as much information and searched all over. Does anyone know if there is a vendor or a store that sells HAWK HPS Brake pads.

I would like to purchase it for a LANCER ES (2004). I believe the model number is HB438 606.

I've only found one vendor that carries them...but can't really tell if they carry it for a base lancer.

For those who have HAWK pads, any comments, thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

This is where I got my Hawk HPS pads for the EVO.

Here is a direct link for the pads for your lancer.

What are they made out of? How are they better than any other brand?

Made from a ferro-carbon base which is a relative to carbon fiber. Handles higher temps better than your average semi-metallic pads do and keep a great initial bite even when cold. I ran the stock Ferrodo (however you spell that ) Infiniti pads and they were ok, but once I put the Hawks on the car was track able. Lot less dust and noise also. They are a great practical pad for daily use but can handle a beating if you want to drive aggressive.

honestly don't know much about Axxis so it would be hard to make a comparison.

Thx anyway. I think you gave me enough info to make me buy them.
One more thing, are they safe to use with cross drilled rotors?

They will work fine with any type of rotor. Had them on my stock rotors then moved to the Power Slots and its even better. Drilled will work also. Feel free to give me a call if you are interested.

i had them for a while, and i would definitely recommend them. if you choose not to get them from tire rack, there should be stores near you that can order them. i decided just to go with the axxis ultimates this time around (you can get a good price on them from nopi)
