Big thanks to RobiSpec!

I had installed my Tein Super Streets and was enjoying my newly installed suspension when Charlie recommended that I take my Lancer over to Robi's to get an alignment done. I set an appointment with Robi and drove over to his shop to get my stuff taken care of. What I originally intended having Robi do was a simple laser alignment and a corner balance. Robi was extremely knowledgeable as to every aspect of my lancer, I was impressed. He did a laser alignment of the rear to negative 0.5 camber and 0 toe, then he moved on to the front of my car. He took a look at a few things and asked me if they made pillowball mounts for the Lancer since he thought I could use some castor and some aggresive camber up front. I told him that Tein doesnt make a pillowball mount for the Lancer, so he poked around at a few things and decided to do things his way. He was able to mate his own high quality pillowball mounts with my Lancer's suspension. He had to go out of his way swapping a few things into my car to get things to work but he was able to make things work perfectly. I would like to give Robi props to his knowledge, his strong will and his resourcefulness. This is the end result of his hard work and dedication:

Rear:
Toe: 0mm
Camber: -0.5 degrees

Front:
Toe: 0mm
Camber: -2.3 degrees
Maximum Castor

Gross weight (with driver): 3050 lbs
Cross Weight (with driver): 49.9%

Thanks Robi, the ride home was AWESOME!

$180 for the laser alignment and I bought some extra goodies for the front (the pillowball mount to allow adjustment of castor and camber) as well as did a corner balancing.

that extra castor really helped the front end "BITE" didn't it....like I said her t*** can't be big enough, and her a** can't be small enough and you NEVER have enough caster in a street car!

Yep, that's the magical thing Robi installed for me! I'll bet that's the first lancer to have one of those types of pillowball mounts. We were able to camber the front agressively and give the Lancer some much needed castor (for that nice bite when cornering).

Naw man, Im still looking for a 4 pt harness that will wrap around my harness bar. I would settle for a 5pt or even a 6pt, just as long as it doesnt bolt to the rear anywhere. Let me know if you guys know of anything.

Any company that makes harnesses probably has one that will strap to your harness bar... i use schroth that bolts to the back... bunch of harnesses here http://www.soloracer.com/harnessbelts.html

Now back on topic... robi you planning on selling these for the lancer? and I have not found anyone that has had a definate answer yes or no but the pillow ball for the evo 8 from cusco and tein should fit the the lancer. But I would like to have those since it is a diffinate that they will fit.

These mounts are designed for the evo 8, however they fit on my lancer perfectly. I'm not sure if this means that ALL pillowball mounts for the evo will fit the lancer but at least we know that this version does.
