Tein Basic Vs. Progress/KYB
I think one of the bad things about the NEX Coilovers is that the rear's aren't adjustable?
I'm not sure if I remember it correctly though, but that was kinda a bad point I saw in the NEX coilovers.
Tein's are sweet, and so are KSports. I guess its just up to you on which ones to buy. I'm looking into saving up for the Ksports myself :9

You should go for a simple set of coilovers like Megan especially if you're looking for better performance on highway speeds. They'll do just fine. However, most coilovers that you get will require a rebuild about every 20K miles depending on how bad the road conditions are etc...

I agree with Rock's thoughts on this.
Spring/strut is a decent combo, but you really want coilovers. Nothing beats that setup.
I could talk for hours on that, but I won't. If anyone has any questions, feel free to post/PM...

Tein will rebuild it. Just gotta mail them to the Tein HQ (and pay the cashola).
Where did you find the K-Sports for $700? I've seen them for only as low as $860-ish. I think I will definitely be buying some coilovers instead of a sleeve kit and shocks. If I get Tein Basic's I'll probably order them through RRM (for $899) unless someone suggests another vendor. Tein seems reliable, my cousin has them on his Subi and loves them. If I find K-Sports for cheaper I might be down to give those a try.... I'm trying to save what money I can as I've been planning to move from Northern California to SoCal by the end of April. So I want to fix my suspension before I make the drive.
Wow, I didn't even know that Megan made products for the non-Evo Lancer. BTW 34Turbo, do you mean that coilovers need a rebuild every 20k on Evo's or is that just a general rule with most cars. I only ask because we where talking street driven Lancers, and you own a IX. That seems pretty short for Lancers, considering my stock setup lasted almost 90k. With Teins, you would think for what you pay for them over stock, and the fact that we're talking about an NA car they would last a similar amount of time. Am I wrong, or are you talking Evo's? Not that it's a deal breaker with the Teins, I just want to know what I'm getting myself into.
I don't think Megan makes stuff for the base lancer. If you want Teins, go through http://www.3n1motorsports.com/catalog/ as they are substantially cheaper than RRM (not meant as a diss to RRM, they're still the champs of the lancer community). All coilovers have adjustable rears, it just depends on how they do it. With the Ksports this is done by adjusting the spring perch, with the NEX I think you adjust the lower mount. Pillowball mounts and camber plates are very useful on a street car as you have complete control over your suspension and can tune it for how you drive and road conditions.
If you want Ksports PM me and I'll tell you where I got mine and for how much.

Here we go, Megan does make coilovers for the lancer. http://www.meganracing.com/products/...d=566&catid=93
