^Agreed, I always though Tein was gods gift to lancer owners until I branched out a bit.

I just took a look at the KSport website and their products don't look all that bad...surprisingly a little more than I was expecting, but not too much. If they had something comparable to the EDFC I might consider them. For the Lancers, those inverted coilovers would be pretty sick...

Well, it was God's gift in the past. Up until recently, Tein was the only option because RRM worked with them to develop a Lancer set. Now that more companies make Lancer parts, the inadequecies of the Tein kit start to stand out a bit more.

Hey Guys. Need some advice on my drop. I'm installing my Tein Basic kit tomorrow.... What height would be best.... performance-wise? I don't want it to be too low so I rub and scrape, but I want it to look good. I was reading in another thread a few days back that ROCK said to go with the recommended height from Tein? So would that be just a 1.2" drop infront and in back?

Anyone who has the Tein Basic's or knows something about them, I'd appreciate a response towards your ride height or a recommended height. BTW, I have 17s.

Thanks.

Searched thru some threads... This is what I've gathered: I shouldn't drop them more than 1.75 inches lower than stock. If I'm driving it daily I should probably run with the front at 1.25" below stock and the rears at .5" below stock.

Anyone... Anyone... time for more searching I guess, I'm too lazy to search right Meow, been staring at a comp screen for over 8hrs.. Sorry for the "noob type" question

Just go with what Tein recommends, they designed the coilovers, I'm sure they know what they're talking about.

I'm assuming it will say the recommended height in the instructions? I haven't opened up the box yet.... Maybe I should do that...

I'd assume so but if it doesn't they have the specs on their website.

Just put in my Tein Basics yesterday and my Progress sway bar from RRM. My ride is 10x better then with those damn sleeves I had on.

Lancer2show: The Teins came ready to install, no extra parts needed. Came to my door step for about $840 (maybe a little more) shipped. I did the install with a friend of my dads at his shop since my cousin couldn't help me. My mechanic said it's one of the easiest coilover setups to put in a car, and these fit perfectly, bolted right on. Modified? I read through a lot of threads and did a good amount of questioning, never came across having to do mod's. I can ask my mechanic if he did anything while I went to pick up lunch, but I doubt it.

I'm kind of a name brand ***** at times, and Tein is respectable name with good products, I didn't come across a thread diss-ing them or needing mods, thats why I picked Tein, I just wanted something made for my car that would not give me a headache during install. If RRM sells it, you know its good.

ROCK: Thanks for telling me to go with recommended height... car rides perfect. Although it's maybe a tad lower in back.... that can be adjusted easily now.
