After installing the Tein coilover suspension on my Lancer, I decided that I did not want to remove the trunk interior before every race, tuning session, and canyon run. So, my father happened to have some Ford plugs designed for access to the suspension on Mustangs (they cost about $1 each and come in different sizes, circles and ovals). So I measured some distances and cut a hole the shape of the plug on each side in the trunk interior, cut away some of the insulation, and the plug fits right in. It even looks as though it was oem!!! Now, all I have to do to adjust my shocks is pull the plug out, remove the rubber cap, and I'm there!

Was month old news, Richard
but now I'm thinking of putting a rear strut bar in to gain some oversteer, which means I'll be the one removing the trunk liner completely

u want over steer
if over steer is what u whant hear is the set up asuming you have tein super street coil overs this is what is needed . rear shocks @ hardest setting fronts @ softest setting. front sway bar disconected . set rear ride hight a bite higher than the front . you could even go as far as to put the spring from the front in the rear but you will need to keep the ride high up a bit more to stop bottoming out witch it will do any ways but the car will have some really good turn in . O and as much camber on the front you can get .set rear @ 0 deg .you can put the front strut bolts that hold the spindle to the strut in a laith turn them down the centers just a little and get some camber that way or pay a out raguss price for some all ready done. This whole set up worked to well for me car was nervice felling but dam over steered almost like rear wheel drive.

did the spindles already (tapered step drill did the trick), I will probably set the front shocks quite low for the next race. I'm a little iffy about moving springs around (still my daily driver). I might go for that thing about raising the rear ride height, although I will move it permanently, don't need to realign before and after every race. I wanted the rear camber at 1/2 negative, but Marlon insisted on a full degree, and the fronts are at about 1 1/4 (as far as I'll go for tire wear on the street).
Instead of disconnecting the front sway, do you think a rear strut (and maybe a rear control arm bar, too) will do the trick? I don't want a lot of oversteer, just some in the hairpins, with the ability to control it like I used to with the stock suspension. Thanks for the suggestions!
