Another Offset Question...

I'm sure this has been answered over and over, but I dont understand what the other people are talking about.

If i wanted to put rims on my car I need to look for the Offset , the diameter and the Width .

The rims I want are 4x114.3 and a 42 or 38 Offset. which one would be more ideal for my car? also what else should I be looking for?

4X114.3 is the bolt pattern or pitch circle diameter as some call it. The OEM wheels for the OZ have a 43mm offset, so anything with a 35mm-43mm offset should be ok for your car. Now, the smaller offset (35mm) will stick out farther than larger offset (43mm). Most aftermarket wheels for imports are 40mm-43mm offset, at least what I've seen anyway. As far as wheel size, that's up to you, it's recommended not to go any larger than 17X7.5, but some people are running 19's on their car.
