strut bar

strut bar

hi, i have a question about how to install strut bar?

i tried to take off the front nuts under the hood but it just won't come off.

the car was sitting down. or do i have to raise the car up?

the car can be sitting down, it doesn't matter. But if you haven't removed those nuts before they will be very tight. Try buying some PB Blaster to loosen them up

yeah, it's crazy tight,
okay, i'll try that. but on the strut bar, there is the adjusting bolt.
it can be shortened or longer, do i have to set that tight? or regular?

you probably have an ebay bar right?

i would assume you do it tight. I have an adjustable lower tie bar and i got it pretty tight.

Sounds like you've got all the info you need...good luck prying those suckers off! At least their not lower front strut bolts (19mm I think); now those took a pipe and a half!

hey guys, i'm gonna install the front strut bar tomorrow.

quick question about strut bars.

if i install the front, do i have to install the rear too? just curious

some elbow grease or an impact will get it off

And don't forget. Righty thighty, lefty loosy

And put an extension on your wrench if you're having a hard time.
