repainting wheels

Hi, i have 15" alloy wheels on my Lancer, there are is some minor curb rash on the outer part of the wheels and i was wondering what the best way was to fix it?

Are there shops that work on wheels or is this somthing i could possibly do my self?

Thanks for the help ahead of time!

Well, you can sand down the part that's chewed up to make it even...but you'll not be able to add additional material to where it's missing some. If it ain't bad, sand it, prime it, paint it. Cake!

Yes, there are places that fix rims...just search for one in your local area.

If you're going to re-paint them yourself, then a little sanding to even out the rash won't "hurt" the structural integrity of the rim. But yes, plx post pics! Best way we can tell you.

that happened to my rim, what i did was get some Steel wool and mothers buffing compound from pep boys, using the steel wool i brushed down the part of the rim that was messed up from the curb and then went over it with the Mothers compound and brought the shine back to the rim, pictures would help, but i did that to my wheels.
