Very wise words, now only if more people knew this.
And for the kit itself i would most likely be interested but it would be really nice to get a whole car kit with really big slotted rotors and very nice red multi piston calipers with steel braided lines. Then throw a set of coilovers on there as well as a turbo and then you will be ready for some fun driving.

Also, keep in mind that if you are going to mod your brakes: 1) going with an over-sized rotor diameter can work against you at times 2) don't cheap out on the pads 3) use steel brake lines

it is more mass to stop and more mass to get going after a stop. and they will run cooler and possibly even too cool due to the bigger size of the rotor. so big is good but too big can be bad. its more about powerful calipers and more rotor/pad surface area.
