Low offset wheels on the GTS
Trending Topics
I don't think it will be easy to tell the low-offset differnce of 40mm compared to the stock wheels with 45 or 46mm. C-mon, it's 5mm. Although, I woudn't put them on my GTS. I would only go with lower offset wheels if the wheel was wider. Our wheels are 18X7 with 45mm offset. If I buy aftermarket wheels I'd buy something like 18X8 and then go with 35 to 40mm offset (because 10mm less is roughly 3/8inch) to keep the wheels under the body about where they are now. Of course I'll have to buy new rubber too but it would be worth it because I think the stock width of the wheels and tires looks kinda weak when viewed from the front and rear. Does anyone out there know the maximum width tire/wheel combo you can get away with on the GTS? I'd also take the opportunity to maybe go to 19-inch rims when I buy new ones and then a lower profile tire like a 35 so that I keep about the same stock rollout.
HArd to see offset with the eye. Point is to make sure they do not rub when you travel through the suspension etc... WE are working on a max wheel tire combo for sure. Just need to figure out on our new car.

I hope these pics work. Anyways...these are 35mm offset, and I believe they are 18x7.5s not 8s like I stated earlier. Sorry about the confusion. Either way, I know they are a half inch larger than the stock 18s, and they're on the stock dunlops. They fit fine, and nothing rubs.
