I figured these would work well for Nathan cause there does not tend to be a lot of snow in Arizona. But, like you said, these are a great tire for the price; you can't go wrong with these tires. Kumho's are a Korean tire that not many people are really familiar with until recently because of there affordability and there longevity.

Why not the SPT Kumhos? They have better rating and are only a few bucks more each. Also either of them has a tread warrenty while the bridgestones do, in addition to have better traction ratings, ride noise, etc.

What he said won't help you. Doesn't matter how old you are, when you talk to your dealer: Be knowledgeable about you problem and solution, ask them for explanations for their decisions, explain what it is that you want ("The customer is always right"... )... and most of all BE FRIENDLY. No one wants to help an a$$!

Well first off I want to know why he got his replaced, did they wear faster then they should have? If so at what mileage did he get them replaced at? And what evidence did he have to back his claims?

I was in Discount Tire today getting a slow leak looked at and the guy said the Kumhos wear out fairly quickly and that I'd be much better off with the Yokohama YK520(comes with treadlife warranty) or the Goodyear GT. 225/45-18

I've seen that. Slightly wider is better anyway since it fits just fine.

Not sure what you mean, the Goodyears are $869, the Kumhos are $864, the Yokohamas are $895. How is that expensive tires? And no offense but you didn't suggest anything you linked me to TireRack..

Go with the Yokohamas. I have had them on trucks, my wife's minivan, and my old Ralliart! They tend to be a little loud, but they handle better then any other tire for that price range.

The Yokohama AVID T-4 allows true Yokohama-style driving enjoyment to be available more economically. The AVID T-4 provides performance levels of handling and grip along with long treadwear, enhanced ride comfort and reduced noise levels to meet a driver's everyday needs.
Yokohama AVID T4 (Performance All-Season)
for 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES Warranty Rating 4.5

* Size: 205/60R16
* Blackwall

* Price: $79.00 (each)

For $80.00 a tire, you are getting the performance you want at the price you can afford! This is a very high rated tire in testing, and will likely be my next tires for my Lancer.

The Yokohama Avid T4 was ranked #2 by Tire Rack for Performance ALL Season Tires. That is just behind the Firestone Firehawks which are not made in our size tire.

Right now I'm trying to find documentation that shows that these particular tires should have lasted longer then 6500-7000 miles so that I can easily shoot down the Service Manager when he tells me this time that he looked into these particular tires and because they are soft compound performance tires they are only supposed to last that long. On TireRack I found 3 reviews, the lowest mileage I found out of these particular tires on a 08 Lancer was 28,500, still QUITE a bit more then 7k.

So I contacted Goodyear Corporate and they called me back and left a message with a ref #. I went to Discount Tire and the guy called Goodyear, they said they would give me like $106 back per tire to the sales rep at Discount Tire. Breaks down to $391 and change installed with Hazard Warranty for a set of Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S. Discount tire rocks because they include Free Lifetime Rotations and Valve Stems , incredible customer service too.
