Pull to the left

I have searched through many posts on here and haven't found anything to help me. Most people have modified cars and issues related to those. I have a 2002 OZ (unmodified unfortunately) and it pulls to the left like crazy. I have had it aligned recently. The print is great and in spec (I have had some technical training, so I atleast can tell if it will pull or not based on the alignment). The first person that responds is probably going to say take it to another shop. I plan on taking it to a dealer or maybe Buschur Racing, if they will, to have it done. But I still can't figure out why it pulls so hard. I'm thinking something is bent. Also, when sitting, not moving, and I turn the wheel to the right, I hear a clunk noise when I realease the wheel to turn back to the left. Maybe related. Sorry if this is so long, I wanted to be descriptive to reduce questions. Thanks to all that help.

Tommy

My car does that too. But not as bad as yours. Mine does it when I go over a bump as I'm breaking. It just pulls a little but not a lot. The 2008 did that as well because I had a GTS for a week. I don't know what it could be.

I got a similar problem, but basically rebuilt the whole front end of the car recently so just assumed it was related... Was also recently aligned but after about a day same problem appears, especially when you hit over a bump n hit the gas i pull left, although not as bad as yours i think.

Maybe your control arm bushings are shot, so when it's in motion the geometry changes? I'm grasping at straws here...

Clearly it's an alignment issue. It may be that some bushings are shot or some bolts are loose which allows the suspension to change as it moves.

Well i believe its alignment also, but theres something else making it move towards the left it could be because of his steering wheel, you never know. And another thing is someone could of drove the car and hit a curb. There could be numerous things of why its doing what its doing.

Yea but I was driving a new 08 GTS earlier this year for a week and it did the same thing. Mitsubishi said they had alignment issues and maybe our cars do too.

My car had perfect alignment (until I hit a fake leg) so I don't think it applies to all Lancer years.

The obvious stuff first.
Do you have two different brands of tires in the front?
Is one of the front tires significantly more worn out than the other?

It's probably none of those but since you mentioned the noise when you turn the steering wheel, my dad's mazda 3 had the same problem when turning the steering wheel in the parking lot and replacing the front control arm fixed the issue.

The clicking noise is from the bushings on the lower control arms

Alignments just help move your steering wheel closer to the middle instead of going towards the left or the right. Any damaged done to your steering sometimes can't be fixed from just an alignment. Make sure they check it out more thoroughly.

Are your shocks blown? Or one of them?
