It will reduce chassis flex just as any other bar would. The location is different. That's all. Personally I wouldn't consider them at all necessary, but I also wouldn't consider them a waste of money.

From my experience, a wider size/diameter of rims/wheels will produce better results in your turns. Anything additional will always help, but don't expect the best.

you kind find a rear strut bar and all the other strut bars and sway bars at obxracingsports.com
I think strut bars and sway bars, all together over all would be more beneficial to a car than wider wheels, but wheels would be better than just one strut bar or sway bar.
