can i do to stop or reduce rubing

Well i lowered my car 1.8 all around. Aquired some 17 in rims from a local shop that sponsored me. Now I rub constantly on the back everytime the ride is bumpy or when i make a left turn but when i make a right turn its quite what can be the problem? I know im rubbing so what can i do to help it reduce some of the rubbing? Thanks guys.

Get new springs. A 1.8 inch drop is obviously too much, especially with all that stereo equipment in the trunk. Also your springs might be sagging, I have the same problem with my S-Techs and they didn't have any noticeable drop in the back.

yeah, I think 1.4-1.5 is best drop... 1.8 you would probably have to try to rip apart any plastic in teh wheel wells or cut away whatever is rubbing, which is never a good idea...

I have a 1.8 inch drop also, and no rubbing at all. I have a pretty heavy system too so I think its the tire size. It might be to wide and hitting the inside of the well. My front rub only when I turn it all the way and going up or down a hill.

i dont remember if the ES or LS is the one without the sway bar, if you dont have it you might wanna put it in, along with a front strut, will stop you bouncing some

Charles, what size tires are you running? And do you know the offset of the rims? I remember when I tried 17s with a 40mm offset and a 225/45/17 tire, they rubbed during hard corners and dips. A narrower tire might help with that, or maybe a lower profile tire if you have more than 40 or 45 profile right now.
