Question before I lower it
I've had my 09 Lancer GTS for over a year now and have been itching to lower it since the day I got it. My previous vehicle was a lowered Chevy Xtreme and I loved it being low but it was a real pain. The truck was too low to drive on lifts or fit jacks under and it was a huge hassle just to change the oil. not to mention rubbing issues. So before I commit to lowering my Lancer i want to know from others if anyone has experienced this. I only want to lower about an inch or so all around (most likely with RRM Grip springs, but I'm open to suggestions).
i had this problem before with my 06 scion tc...i had Progress springs and full kaminari body kit and i couldnt get on any lifts without taking my side skirts off...it was a pain but well worth it...my evo X is lowered on eibach with the SSS aero kit and its real low Im going in for an alignment this week and will see how it does on a rack...you should go with tein springs for the lancer...you should'nt have any problems b/c that car sits up high stock anyways...good luck and post pics!!!
Works - 1.1" all around
Teins will lower too much and handling will get worse. More then 1.5" is way too much. I have heard good thing about the Grips spring as well but cannot personally vouch for them.

The Eibach Sportline is also good. 1.7 F and 1.5 for the Rear. My buddy just dropped his with the Eibachs two weeks ago and so far so good. Im also leaning that way and it sure is a lot cheaper for $173 for the whole set!

Just finished putting in the Eibach Sportlines, and will give an update of the differences, and also will get an alignment done probably tomorrow or sometime this week. Just have to say though, it's not all that hard of a job, but removing those bolts from the sway bars were the biggest problem, and also ligning the bolts up once completing the job.
