Great! Now if only someone would start making an adjustable model, we will have some decent choices.

huh? This shock wil fit the OZ as far as I know, but we still don't have anyone making adjustable dampeners except for the $1200+ coilover kits.

o .. then that's good. i thought since pisetup only specified for 2002-03 ES's that it was just for them.

i know a lot of people would like adjustables better too.

It's about time the ES got some attention. I'm still waiting for decent springs.

the tokico will NOT be adjustable and from speaking with some distributors for the company it seems they will not be out until the end of the month.

Tokico's page mentions "Mirage/Lancer HP" as being under development so they're the HP, non-adustable blue variety. My brother just got some for his V6 Accord and his ride is much more responsive but still porky in its handling. An Illumina setup (adjustable) would be nice, but who knows, maybe if the HP series does well, one will arrive. By simply listing Mirage/Lancer it means that either a)Tokico's test car was a Lancer ES which has more in common with a Mirage suspension than the LS/OZ and may not realize there is a difference in the front suspension setup or b) they know about the difference and are just lumping in the Mitsu compacts all in one group. Oh man, I remember back in the day when the forum community learned about the difference and even now, it still causes concern. Luckily for things like the Tein SS/Basic kits, since they replace the stock springs and perches, the kits are basically universal.

I think the Lancer ES as the same Spring and Struts that you found on a Mirage 2000. It's the same parts number on Ptuning site.

And BTW, look for the Progress Spring for the Lancer ES, It's the same as a Mirage 2000 (Parts # 40.1410)....

That's will be great if it work. (Eibach spring, Kyb Struts....)

If it's true, KYB make ajustable struts......

I thought the Mirage was lighter than the Lancer? So wouldn't the same spring be even lower on the Lancer? Just a thought.

And as for the difference between ES and OZ/LS, since Tokiko is making shocks, they might be able to make a removeable sleeve/perch so the same shock can work with either model's springs. And another idea, if the shock comes out for only one model, you should be able to buy any spring available for that model and the resultant setup would fit onto any -'03 Lancer.

Mirage is a few hundred lbs. lighter which could very well be why the car is so underdamped/sprung. As for swapping Mirage and Lancer struts, it's been tried but with no success.
