go to www.roadracemotorsports.com and check out there brakes and rotors. They are a lot better than stock so for someone like you it would work great. They are good on install prices too. Try giving them a call. They know our cars the best. And a word of advice. TRY DOWN SHIFTING!!!

i've had my car for about 2 years now. Im on about 45,000 and i've been through 2 sets of pads, and my rotors resurfaced 2 times.. and i do my own install.. and recently my brakes started to Chirp while drive and squeek while braking and Crunch while stopping.. Took it to "Brake Master" and they told me its normal and the squeaking is from medal pads rubbing against the medal rotor surface.. so now i guess im stuck with the squeaking. unless there is a solution.. is there?

well first of all, the squeaking is normal so don't worry about it. I think there's a special spray you can put on your rotors that help lubricate so the noise can diminish. Buy it at a auto zone or rs strauss.. etc.

As for the guy who said that he has 29000 miles on his car?...
I couldn't help notice that it says you are from PA. So i'm guessing you put alot of highway miles. so you don't really brake much.
Wow as for me, i live in the city, so braking is all i do. I've changed my brakes twice. Don't go to the dealership, they'll charge you an arm and a leg. if anything get performance brakes which'll last you longer and have it done at a local mitsu expert shop.. for a whole lot cheaper.

wow 9000 miles and u need it changed?? i would understand new brakes, but you need new rotors too? i went to mitsu to get it changed and guess how much they charged me... 200 mother effin dollars.. just for the ***kin brakes.. so i suggest you use that 200 to buy yourself new pads and rotors from RRM and just have it installed at meineke or something. about the squeaking, no its not normal and shouldnt be doing that.. someone else here posted a thread about their brakes too and squeaking is a sign of your brake pads running thin. the more you prolong that squeaking, the more likely it is for you to warp your rotors.

so ok, from reading all of this, this is the denomination and the best way to go about all of this...
step 1. http://www.roadracemotorsports.com
step 2. meineke
step 3. enjoy

that is by far THE BEST, and no, i'm not trying to sound like a *****... but dude, seriously... if you don't take this path, you're a moron...

i'm gonna be ordering my breaks and rotors from rrm, cuz they're damn good, and i'm def. going to meineke

Has anyone put a thread on brakes in the how-to section yet? I'd be happy to do so, but I haven't actually changed my rotors yet. Just the pads, which is a snap I might add. 14mm socket, 17mm socket, and a crow bar (to compress the caliper. PM me if you want to know how this works SAFELY) and that's it!

Someone wrote it up, but I didn't wanna sticky it unless soeone too pics. Too risky if someone ****s up their brakes and drives into a tree. Will gladly sticky it as a how to if someone takes pics. I'll prolly make one, but not until I put my Wilwoods on...which isn't going to be soon because the stock rubber brake lines are a ***** to remove on my car and it's getting cold out. (I don't have snow tires for my 17's and Paradas are not a winter option).

Brakes are easy, but I'm not going to get too into detail here. Simple steps:

1. take of the wheel

2. look around back and unbolt the caliper from the caliper bracket (2 bolts)

3. pop the pads out of the caliper

4. insert new pads

5. figure out how to get the caliper back around the rotor with a full thickness pad on it.

6. bolt that ***** back on.

It's literally a total of unbolting an rebolting 6 things...and that includes taking your wheel off. 12 things when you're doing both sides (which you should always do simultaneously)
