Question Availability of Kumho V710?

Anyone have a date for the availability of the new Kumho V710 DOT R radial? I am planning for autocross season next spring and will be in need of some new tires? Thanks all.

Kumho was here testing that tire in its experimental stage this summer. They say it will be available in 6 different sizes in 4 rim diameters to start. It will be available before the racing season, hopefully very early spring. We should have more on our site within the next month or two

Thumbs up

Thanks Neal. Quick question too. I have read B. Priebes test session notes and I am wondering how the 710 compares to the 700 and the Victoracer on cars with little or no camber to the negative. My Lancer only has 0 to .5 negative in the front end, and that is being generous. The Ecsta v700 I have never did get the "cord of death" on them, but I did flip them on the rims and I run primarily on asphalt lots. Until the V710 came up, I planned on Victos for my next set. Let me know if I should consider the 710 or go with the Victoracers. I autocross approximately 18-24 days a year.

To be honest, I haven't seen any reviews on the V710 yet, nor have I driven on it. The tire isn't in full production yet so not a lot of testing has been done. When they were here testing, I heard people commenting on how awesome the tire is, but compared to what I dont know. For now, I would stick to the V700's until more research has been done on the V710

Might have some by the end of the month-middle of next month. A shipment is expected around the 30th, however its not set in stone yet.

Just went to Kumho's site and lo-and-behold the V710 is out there. Only 7 sizes right now, nothing for the Evo.

Looks like the Rack has them up too, pricing doesn't seem that bad:
