i would say take it back to where you had it done, because the pro-kits work fine without aftermarket shocks. I know from experience.

Sounds like the spring is not setting in. This poping sounds usually happen when you first drive because the spring is then setting into position, but if this continues then it sounds like a poor install job. Maybe they installed the springs upside down

Jack the car up and see if there is any play when the suspension is not loaded. Also check and see if the bottom of the spring is sitting correctly. It might just take a few days to settle in.

I had the same problem when I installed my springs on my camaro. They were rubbing something under the car. I think it was the swaybar, but it might have been something else. Check for scratched paint on the srpings, you may have to reinstall them. also check the alignment after instalation, if the springs dont seat right they will make noise. Align the wheels also or you will need new tires in about 2 months

Guess what,

I brought my car to a repair shop for installation and I witnessed the whole thing, the springs are installed correctly but regardless they make the same noise that was reported on this thread when I go over any bump

I had an alignment done and now the noise is not that bad but I still get it once in a while. It sounds like a cracking noise, dunno.

any ideas?

hey nyclancer.....i installed the springs myself to answer your question....but i just brought it to a local gas station to compress the springs for me thats all......and by the way....someone told me that when you get an alignment...you have to put your stock wheels back on to do it...is this true??? because i just got new rims for my car and i dont want to switch it back to the OZ's.....input please...

A lot of shops alignment machines can't handle larger wheels. A lot of springs rattle. Compare the strut and the spring length, the strut has a lot more travel than the new shorter spring. So every time the strut is extended farther than the spring can travel, it'll rattle. Or it could just be the top few coils making noise, that's why you'll see some springs that have spring wrap on the top few coils.

i dont think that you should mess around with just trying to take the springs out without a tool....i have heard instances where the spring would pop out and hit people in the faces.....just go to a place like auto zone and rent a compressor or you could even go to a shop to get it compressed for you.....thats what i did....and just install yourself..

i tried installing springs myself too... it seemed a little too hard so i returned them... now im just going to wait for a whole suspension change before i mess with it again... i dont think its worth messing my car up.... but thats my opinion... i think performance is better then looks

Take your springs off, rotate them 1/4" and put em back on. If the noise persists.. Turn your radio up.
