You need an impact my friend that is by far the easiest way to do it. Without that it is going to be next to impossible to get it loose

I put my lowering springs on a couple years ago. My impact had no trouble at all. Just make sure you have enough air supply :. Mine has 710 ft ibs and I use 1/2" air line.

Are you talking about the nut that holds the spring on? Did you remove the strut 1st? Is this front or rear?

yeah impact gun will do it. If it is the front the other way you can do it that has somehow worked for me is doing it while the car is on the ground with all the weight on it, loosen it that way. Like I said that worked for me a couple of times but not all the time not sure why.

I hope that you are using a spring compressor...

For some reason I got the impression that you are not. You can seriously injure yourself once the nut opens and the spring is released.
