Just a little update on the abs kicking in at the track...the hawk hp+ definitely helped alot because the abs were activating a lot less than with the stock wilwood pads. So if you do this rear disc conversion make sure your rear pads are not too aggressive compared to the front if you're planning on doing lapping and/or autocross or your abs will kick in almost everytime you stop before a corner.

Do you know if everything between the ralliart and the sportback is the same? Is the only difference the hub assembly and the rotors?

I was reading thru a couple of threads and senate had all the Mitsubishi parts listings for a 5 lug swap. Just wondering if I could use his part numbers for backing plates and such and just get the hub bearing kit for the sportback off Rockauto.

The difference between the ls sportback and the ralliart is that the sportback has no hole for the abs sensor in the backplate and its a 4x114.3 hub.

Alright that's what I was figuring. I'm gonna start getting some parts together and I'll post back when complete to verify that it works on an 02 oz.

Also, do you know what diameter the rotors are? Will my stock oz wheels clear them?

I tried ordering thru mitsubishipartswarehouse.com and they quit making the backing plate on one side. The caliper will bolt to the backing plate.

That's what I asked the online guy. He said idk haha, I think the tsunami had a lot to do with it. They lost a lot of inventory. But he said they don't even know they can't get stuff til they place the order. He was unable to get the ralliart one as well. I might just order as much as I can then get the rest from the junk yard. If you look up the 5 lug conversion, the parts list for the rear is the same except the discs

What I was getting at is the 4 lug and the 5 lug use the same parts. The only difference is that the 5 lug would use a different rear hub. So you can use that to source all the lines and hardware you want to buy new. Then instead of getting ralliart rotors you would purchase sportback rotors since they are 4x114.3, the backing plates you could use either ralliart or the sportback.

If you have abs the ralliart has the hole in the backplate and the sportback doesn't but you can always drill a hole for the abs sensor in the sportback backplate like i did.

yea, gonna just do the back. i dont know if the brake calipers would work for the front if i did the 5 lug conversion. plus i'd need a new set of wheels and shoes. i also dont have abs, and i highly doubt the ralliart came without.
