A new rear strut bar for under $50 and actually GOOD!

I came across this rear strut bar on eBay looking to see what is out for our non Evolution lancers. I ordered this red rear strut bar http://www.ebay.com/itm/181853329904?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and it is very solid. Nice and rigid especially the center section. I made a mistake before and bought the Megan racing front strut bar for my 2015 Lancer SE and took it off immediately and chucked it and put the solid dcsports front strut bar on it like on my 08 es.
So I know flimsy, flexible compared to stiff and rigid. This inexpensive rear strut bar is rigid and well worth the price. Looks nice too. It is available in either blue or red and is painted. I ordered from the link I posted for the red rear strut brace for $42 shipped.
Less than half the cost of UR or the single RRM.
This bar is a major win

I'm glad you like the bar and found a great deal! That being said, I bought all the suspension bars I could for my previous vehicle and have learned that, after a certain point, a passive bar is just a bar. I think it is much more important to buy a quality active bar (like a sway bar) than it is to buy expensive passive bars (like tie bars and strut bars). $40 is probably around the appropriate price-point for a bar like this, so good find!

I probably won't be buying any strut bars for my lancer as the GTS came stock with a front one and I don't care to compromise my trunk space in the rear; I had a rear strut bar in my previous vehicle and it was great until I tried to put anything sizeable in the trunk.

Lol, basic 2 point strut bars do nothing but add weight.

Yeah, I don't know about this. If you're looking to just add this for looks, go for it. Performance wise...

But that's my opinion.

I've added strut bars to different vehicles with mixed results, but any structural integrity you can add CAN be beneficial. Not always the case though. Some you can actually feel and some don't seem to make a difference. I find that subframe braces really stiffened up my GTS and prefer 3 points of securement vs. just two pints, eg; front strut bar tied into firewall or rear bar tied into rear deck.

I just installed bars on my front and rear on my 2012 ES and it is a bit of a change. The Rear bar didn't do too much(in my humble opinion)
