Question spring replacements?

so i've been meaning to work on my lancer for a while and its about time i did. first of all i want to make it clear that im not much of a motor head and so i might not get some concepts here and there but please just bare with me. my first problem was when i bought my lancer, the previous owner had the front end lowered to the point where the wheels would rub every now and then. This was about 5-6 months ago. now its to the point where the inner panel on the fenders are completely deteriorated. on top of getting a new pair of panels, i was thinking of getting a new set of springs to raise it back up. the thing is, im not sure if i should just get a full set of 4 or just measure the back side and get 2 of that end to put in the front.
any and all suggestions are welcome!!

Are they stock wheels and tires?

How low does the rear sit?

hey thanks for the reply. i do believe that the wheels are stock and the 2 front tires but the tires in the back are new. the back sits at 13.5 in and the front at 12.5in

If it was me...

I would sell the current tires (on craigs list) and buy new (or used) lower profile tires (i.e. 205/40/16 if the ones on there now are 205/50/16). This would make the tires smaller but keep the improved handling and appearance....

This would be a much easier and cheaper (labor-wise) solution.

If you do want to change the springs - just ask a forum member to trade springs. I am sure they would jump at the chance and if local - probably help you do it...

I think I would prefer to have a complete set of springs instead of buying/trading for just two examples. You may check to see whether the front springs are cut or if they are a different product than the rears.

Do you like the stance of the vehicle? Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the raked look as I typically like my vehicle to be level... but that's your business. You could look into lower profile tires as previously suggested, but that will create a rougher ride for you and it's not really solving your problem, just treating a symptom. Check around the classifieds for a set of springs if you think you'd prefer a different set.
