3 inches is a ton. you want 12" wheels with low profile tires on it so your car will go that much lower? scrape the bottom on stones low? 3 inches is a long way to drop your car. i'd go with those

woah. we've got over 5k members now. rock on us.

ground control is probably the best(cheapest) way to go for right now. The lower you go, the more you will sacrifice the comfortability of the ride. I advise not going too low for you will blow your stock struts

CUT THEM! or take the springs out to totally slam it. i cut mine and lowered it 4 1/2"!! looks great, but really bumpy! not too hard but you need to know a tille about springs to decide how low you want it.!!pm me for details.

I hope that's a joke. You know your shocks are going to pop like balloons at a porcupine's birthday party, right? Cutting springs is the worst possible way to lower you car (next to the other option you posed: removing them altogether). Do it right, buy springs or coilovers if you want to retain any semblance of a ride and keep your shocks working properly.

try this

mode 99 mirage front struts with coil over kit from ground control you will need to weld cut drill and a little griding this gets you realy low plus you get some travel do not use the 99 mirage rears they are way wrong I bury 15 rims with 195 50 to the wheel arch and the lower cross meber that suports the trans and rear motor mount is about 2 inches off the ground O you will have to remove the finder well splash gaurds they rub

Anything more than 2 inches and you will KILL your shocks. Don't do 3 inches. There are a lot of options for lowering a Lancer. We have a variety of suspension choices. Check out the site.

he is right

any more the 2 on the stock srut and kiss them good buy you have to have a shorter shock like the99 mirage its over an 1 3/4 shorter than the stock strut plus if you get the AGX from KYB they are adjustable and do not use the rears I am still on the hunt for a good rear

The ES should be able to utilize the front/rear struts and springs from the Mirage, whereas the OZ/LS will not be able to use the front struts/springs, although the rear ones should work...
