Automatic Shift Points

Does anyone know of a ecu programmer that can reprogram the shift points for the lancer's automatic transmission?

The INVECS-II tranny will adjust to your driving style. It's (for the most part) self adapting (heeeey like Terminator!).

Im aware that its an adaptive transmission but i still noticed that unless u drive it hard for a half hour or so the car feels dead. GM cars have something called hypertech programmers for their auto trannys which adjust the shift points to make them more responsive.

Lucky then for the GM owners their computers are hack friendly (have said unit and the engine based one for a 95 Jimmy). Unless you're completely reflashing the chip while before hand unsoldering the respective components, then yes, you can change your shift points.

Sure, if you want to spend 4-6 grand on a new tranny. IMO, not worth it if you're not planning to hit +400 HP.

For only 1k it still isn't worth it. You'd want to beef up the tranny first, then get that piggyback. It's like an AFC on a car with only an intake: not needed.

ok if you do this u can risk screwing your car up, i did it and mine is just fine (knock on wood)

go somewhere where u can run through all, ALL the gears in a straight line!!!
unhook your battery for about 10-15 min, i did mine for 30 just to make sure
put it back on
let it idle for 10-15 i did mine for 30 once again to be safe
then get in the car
now is when u pick how hard/rough or slow/smooth you want it to shift you punch it you get the hard/rough setting, gently get it to move and you get the slow/smooth setting
the setting you pick will be the cars main setting, when u start the car it will be in the setting you just picked and won't require driving the car hard to get it to realize that you want to shift hard

mitsu sets it stock with the pedal half way to the floor so the tranny doesn't have to change as much depending on the firmness of shifts you want

when i typed this it made sense but i will re-read in a sec to make sure lol
