Tranny Swap Mystery

What happend to Auto to Manual tranny swap? If I could remember There was 2 people performing this procedure, one about a month ago and the other further back. They all started posting about the prep but once the actual procedure was starting,no more posts. I know this subject is a delicate one and I'm not asking for comments on "IF" it can be done,I just wanna know if someone did it.

There's no mystery. Like L and ambystom said, they were simply abandoned.

as of right now, i'm happy with my auto. i think with a torque converter it will be good enough. i know i am getting mad drivetrain power loss because of it, but you gotta play with what your dealt, right?

yeah, with manual, you get to use lsd, better clutches, and lightened flywheel.

auto gets......well, nothing

I know a shop that could do it.. it would take about 2 or 3 days, and 1200 bux. I had one quoted before for my old talon cause the auto trans went out. The shop could only locate one trans and it was an auto though. Those Eagle Talon 420a motor M/T were very rare.. in michigan at least. So I had to settle for the A/T, which was the last remaining one in michgan at the time, I lucked out. But it definetly can be done if you have all the parts and just go to the right shop.

edit: by 1200 bux, that means labor only. The parts you bring yourself. (ecu, trans, shifter, console, pedal, etc..)
