so how long would you say it took you in total?

 

i took the seats out so it took me a little longer. I would estimate about 1 to 1 1/2 hours with simple hand tools. This is WELL worth the money and will make a big difference in the shifting.

 

nice.. where do they usually sell? sounds like you got a good deal, any idea on regular pricing?

 

I bought mine directly from LancerShop.com - package deal with shifter, knob and bushings was like $115 shipped. Great fitment and really firms up the shifter

They sure do, I got my short shifter from them. Don't order online though, the shipping calculator is all messed up, it said it would be like 110$ to ship 40$ worth of transmission fluid. Call em and tell em the calculator is messed up, in all likeliness they'll end up calling you back so you can place the order. Alternatively contact the lancershop rep on here and get him to call you, he's done that a few times for me.

zcyph, there are several people that sell the same thing on ebay for half the price. i got mine from mcpcola (it is the megan racing) i think it was $30 shipped, with a knob, it was well worth the money and is a very straight forward install, you can have it installed in about 30 min if you what you are doing, but if you are kinda new at it may take about 45min to an hour. and it is not necessary at all to take out your seats. good luck.

 

You can also get the B&M shifter, the perrin shifter, and I'm sure there are others. It all depends on whether you wanna spend the extra dough to get the best possible product.
