help with clutch
Lol, It just sounds like the guys that changed out ur cylinders didnt bleed the system. If thats the case you have air in the lines and you loss all your pedal presssure and the clutch will not fully engage. I would take it to another shop to have it worked on. Or just bleedthe system yourself. Its pretty easy but takes two people.
****WHILE THE CAR IS OFF!!!!!!! Just put someone in the car and pump the clutch a couple of times. Then hold the clutch in and have the other person open the line on on the clutch actuator, (the piece on the tranny that pushes the throw out bearing into the clutch), with a 8mm, i think, and let it bleed out the air. Take off the little rubber nipple that covers the hole. It will leak fluid to but thats ok. You will have to keep putting more fluid in the system as you bleed it. Then tighten it back and let off the clutch. Pump it up, it will be soft and then get harder, and repeat this process a until the air is out. You'll know when its out b/c the pedal will be hard and the clutch will fully enage.
If bleeding your system doesnt work then your pressure plate is bad and a new clutch is a most. But to me it sounds like air in the clutch lines.

if you run your car too long without getting it fixed, the flywheel is very likely to become warped, so you want to get that fixed pretty soon. just go to google and type in OEM car parts or something like that. there are several sites that have OE spec parts, most slave cylinders should cost about $50-$60. possibly autozone could order them, if you dont want to go to the dealership.
