I second that inquiry... I'm looking for stage II as well for my turbo Civic hb project. SPEC seems to be cheaper when compared to Exedy, Centerforce, etc. Any one knows who manufactures them?

I've got a stage one

The pedal is a little stiffer than stock but other than that doesn't feel any different. At the track I had good bite when I release the clutch quickly but feathering the clutch there was too much slippage. I'm not sure if I broke it in enough when I went, I only had 550 or so miles on it at the time.

I'll be able to give a more complete review after I go back to the track.

Oh and there is a difference between the 02-03 lancers and the 04-up. The throw out bearing in the 02's is much more expensive and houses the slave cylinder. Something to look out for when pricing clutches because it's an extra 100 for that bearing.

Nope.... I was considering the Works but since I was quoted a similar price for everything from Vision I thought I would just go with them since they are local.

That's why I know to be careful with the TOB because I had to renegotiate for the clutch once it arrived without the correct one.

im not using SPEC...i'm using ACT stage II. i believe they are matched with 2600lb PP's so they should have about the same amount of hold...it has nice pedal feel. a little stiffer. never slips....liquid was running a little under 300hp around 19psi before be blew a piston ring (i think, never dyno'd...still the quickest car i've ever been in...much quicker than a stock Evo VIII) with an ACT stage II and he didn't slip either...i dont think you will need anything much higher than a stage II...maybe a III if you start hitting some serious numbers.

i haven't seen anybody on the boards with one. just give CNFX a call @ 1-610-266-1900. i believe the guys name is Tom (i am probably wrong though).....or IM him @ VIPERBLZ. that's what i did when i wanted to discuss getting EMS set up. he was pretty cool to talk to and will probably be able to give you the best info on how the clutch will feel.

I have a stage 2 in my Miata holding about 200lbs/ft and 235 rwhp. Pedal pressure is close to stock (much less than the ACT Xtreme I had before) but a bit grabbier. No slippage yet after about 8k miles.

This clutch was a welcome improvement over the ACT IMO. YMMV etc.

So Robbi, you have a SPEC stage II? Sound like all thumbs up for SPEC for now.
