Question from Singapore

Good day to all,

My name is Eric, also a Lancer (05 model) driver from Singapore. I'm looking for a short shifter for my manual car, and is unable to find one within my country.

I happened to chance by Ebay, and saw 2 options:

1. B&M short shifter

2. JDM short shifter

The B&M one is rather expensive (priced at about US$130 for the shifter alone), while the JDM one is cheaper (bidding price on Ebay is US$18).

I had read much about the good reviews of the B&M shifter, and thus like to check if that price is of the correct range? Or are there cheaper alternatives?

In addition, anyone had tried the JDM short shifter?

Sorry to trouble and really looking forward to your assistance...

everything ive heard would lead me to say bet the B&M. There are some things you can skimp on price wise but personaly id say your gear shift is NOT one of those things

I would say go cheapo. Short shifters are all generally the same (variations in % of change, etc), but really it's a hunk of metal that moves the shift rods.

All the Lancer owners with cheapo eBay short shifters have loved them. Use the $100 for something nice.

Thanks guys. In this case, I think I shall give the JDM shifter a try first.
