does this sound like a auto tranny prob?
hello ppl i have been having this strange prob with my auto tranny bout lets say 5-6mths now,if i dont warm my car up on mornings to get to work, i notice that when i throttle on the gas the car moves very lazy, let me try to expalin this in the best way possible,i would throttle on the gas and the car would stay on [first gear] and take like 5seconds b4 it goes to [second gear]sometimes when it is taking long i will throttle alll the way down on the gas, but the car will just idle at 1 speed and the gear will take liek 3-5 seconds to change into the next gear. this mostly happens on 1st and 2nd gear and ONLY when the car is first started in the mornings or left for a while to cool off, if the car is warmed up properly i DONT get the prob. well i hope you guys understand what i am trying to say its really hard to expalin. by the way i have a invecs II automatic tranny. thanks and hope you guys can shed some light thanks
aight, now its my turn to say it!

if you looked a little further down through the posts, there is one on this EXACT problem. this seems to be common with the auto trannies, i myself own one and have the same, i wouldnt say problem, but characteristic to my tranny. from what i have been able to tell, it seems that the fluid is not as responsive when it is cold, probably because it is thicker. unless this happens after the car has warmed up, i would not worry about it at all. i have had the same thing happen in other cars besides the lancer. the best thing to do is let your car warm up for a bit before you drive... go outside and start your car, then eat that quick bowl of cereal before you take off. i wouldnt worry about anything unless it becomes extreme, or it happens after the car has warmed up.
