someone told me that to much turbo power on an auto trany for the oz will cayse it to blow. Any thoughts, opinions, etc.

 

of course it'll blow if your pushing to much hp on a reg tranny...you need to consistently take care of your engine if you have a turbo...

 

you need to take care of your engine whether it is boosted or not.

what you may be thinking of is the torque converter not being able to handle the power or just some dumb a$$ 'power shifting' an auto and grenading it. there was a company out west that suposedly made a lancer specific performance torque converter. i dont know much about it though, it was of no use; im 5spd.

 

To be honest, you'll probably be fine. We have auto Lancers pushing out 250whp, and they're OK. So unless something unnatural happens, you'll be OK. Keep an eye on things, get the fluid flushed/changed when you're supposed to, etc.
