If I'm driving through a residential area, which where I live the speed limit is 25mph, it will just slip completely out of gear like its in neutral. This sometimes is on a slight acceleration, I mean very little pedal depression, in either case, if I let off the gas it will grab the approporiate gear and its fine. I've read some old posts where people are having this problem. The threads never ended with a solution though. My wifes 05 did it too a few times when she first got it but I have'nt noticed it since. Mine does'nt do this very often though or I would be more pissed about it.

take it to a tranny shop and have it diagnosed. Tell them what's wrong. Don't go to the dealership, they'll just screw you.

thats the same exact things that my car did/does. the car slipped out of 4th and got stuck in 3rd. turned it off.... fine. also, "slip into neutral" until it grabs again... sometimes on a slight hill or something. im just gonna leave it alone and get rid of it soon.

i suggest you take care of it, cause eventually it'll just break something or what not and cause major headaches down the road. Especialy a dent in your wallet!

Problems:
1) not changing tranny fluid or using el cheapo special fluids or using 100% syth tranny fluid (the latter hunts and pecks ALOT)
2) manually changing the auto like stick (no one will admit it's their fault)
3) it's hard to believe the tranny's speed sensor going bad under 100K miles
4) disconnecting the battery and make the tranny ecu to relearn itself
5) under throttle the speed so the tranny drops down into a lower gear

If it drops to neutral, the tranny has a serious problem, barring electrical wiring problems.
