well people used to pay $400 for the old RRM piggyback that (before you could tune it) I thought was a huge rip off seeing as how it barely pulled any harder and I was still getting owned by all sorts of stock little cars. Theres all kinds of stuff people pay a lot for that dont do much but add to your mod list.

i don't doubt this kit helps, im sure it makes a big difference, esspecially with reliability and with a turbo. I just think $250 is asking a lot, esspecially when compared to what other cars would pay.

we should see about getting a group buy on this, get the price knocked down a bit

I'd like to try it but I'll wait till I get the turbo kit. I believe someone posted a site that explained the installation of the this kit, saying you dont have to remove the tranny. Now if this is the case, it shouldnt be harder than installing a turbo kit. I'm sure we will get more info on this kit and installation from A2.

i think you'd have to tear down the tranny for this, if i remember correctly. it'll come with all sorts of springs and bearings. some springs go in a certain way, etc etc. definitely made a difference in my friend's auto GSX. pulled to redline and shifted a lot faster by comparison to stock. can't remember what he paid though. the torque converter is now his bottleneck.

the tcugo replaces the tranny controller. that's different.

oh, i see. you don't particularly have to drop the whole tranny. you unbolt the fluid pan and take out the valve body. easy, but probably just time consuming and tedious.

^^^now will it actually be as clean as the pics in that install. I would think it to be much more messy and greasy. a lift would be nice too.

We don't care because you don't buy anything.

As they said, who cares if it's cheaper on a Civic? It's the only one available for a Lancer, so they kind of get to set the market. If you want it, buy it. If you don't, don't.

where did you get the price from. i asked philip a while back and he never got back to me on it, i just asumed he hadnt figured out a price yet

yeh i know i don't buy anything. rediculous amount of bills keep coming up out of no-where, plus im still saving me money for an engagement ring. next summer im hoping to have my big spending spree. save up for a while, get my tax money, and i will be good to go
