Another fun part awaiting install
In my ongoing effort to make my car completely undrivable in residential and urban areas (and to accomodate for an already slipping stock clutch) I went ahead and took a slight chance ordering a Clutchmasters Stage 4 (4 puck, sprung hub w/ pressure plate & msk to bearing). The slight chance beingthat a 97-02 1.8l 4g93 Mirage clutch would not fit...There's really no reason it shouldn't, but at least I'll be able to let CM know and tell them they can sell the part as both. At any rate...another part to toss on my pile of **** I haven't had time to install or get installed.
Anywho, I'm tired, bored and cleaning my room. So here's the pics.

They retail from CM at $495...stages 2, 3, and 4 are all the same price, but power handling capabilities on the Stage 4 are 170% over stock....which I will absolutely be needing as time and money come. I got it from a group buy for a good bit less.
Since the install is in a few weeks it's gonna be a bit before I post about any success stories...I'm hoping more for success stories with holding boost than the clutch though to be perfectly honest. There's really no reason this shouldn't fit, but I'm expecting problems since I'm crossing models (despite the same transmission and that the only difference in the clutch assemblies according to David Thomas of RPW is that the Lancer uses a heavier pressure plate). Better to be safe than sorry. Worst comes to worst I'm sure someone on the Mirage Forums would have a use for it.
Oddly enough, the pressure plate is stamped by Daikin-Clutch (makers of Exedy clutches).

And lucky me, my ride (my sister) skipped out on me, now I have no way to drop off my car and get back in time to leave for my vacation this weekend. So no clutch install for me this weekend.
I guess I'm not heartbroken cuz I've been playing with the EMS, but I really wanted to get this done and over with. Then again, this thing problably isn't going to make my daily commute very fun considering how harsh engagement will most likely be, especially on top of my barely tuned EMS.

No. I went down to BM and no one was there. Mark said he'd be there till 7 the day I went.
Hopefully soon. I'm broke again (three times over) after having ordered my AEM UEGO. Hopefully when it comes in I can talk to Mark and set something up. I can hear and feel the stock clutch going slowly.
