Yes, it's possible, and it's very expensive. You essentially need another wrecked Lancer to source parts from, since you need a trans, clutch, pedals, clutch cylinders (master and slave), and a MT ECU. If I had to guess, I'd say at least 3 grand, if you could find all the parts used/salvaged.

It is possible, but I don't think the price of the conversion would be justified for this car. I'd say 3-5 grand depending on who will be doing the labor and where you source the parts from. For that price you can find a used standard shift Lancer that is in ok condition.

the price of doing so is not justified by what kind of car it is. for instance, a supra conversion would be justified since it's a performance car, lancer is a grocery getter. the money would be much better spent elsewhere.

You're still going to get quite a bit of power. You'd be very happy with a turbo auto Lancer.

i think the tranny itself can handle plenty but the engine itself on the other hand.. i think max is 9 with stock internals.

i guess that aint so bad i was thinkin closer to like 6..my brother has a friend that has a turbo and intercooler he wants to sell...i was gunna buy but im kinda weary about buying a used turbo altho i dont think it was used long or pushed hard er nuthin...havnt looked too much into it but he says its a stage III GReddy turbo kit and intercooler..

another problem..its still gunna cost a fortune to install once i buy all the necessary parts..

also wasn't sure with the 03 lancer engine and motor and wut not..

yes its def possible as people said but i dont recomend it. i was thinking about buying an auto lancer and switching the tranny with the manual one i already have, its a long story. In the end, its not worth it for a lancer

huh i didnt really read all the threads and i saw now that u want turbo for the lancer. well thats the background to my story pretty much. a stock lancer can handle 7psi, not 9. and its not really a safe bet to buy used, although you do know the guy i guess so... But anything higher than 7psi and u need to beef up the engine. seriously if you want to turbo this thing, look into alot of the forced induction threads. Its not as safe as it seems, just drop a turbo in and ur good. if the cars not meant to handle forced induction somethings gonna go wrong, pretty much no matter what. so have alot of back up money for when things do.
