Go buy a stage 2 clutch kit from RRM, problem solved, had mine installed last october, the guys that installed it wanted to bet me 10 bucks i'd stall it several times before i left the parking lot, which i did, and im not one to stall a stick shift, once it breaks in, one of the best clutches out there, enjoy.

ummm, the reason they charge so much for a slave cylinder is because they put the slave cylinder inside the tranny bellhousing so you cant get to it unless you remove the tranny, witch is why they said replace your clutch at the same time. save you money in the long run... but 1000$ for a clutch job is rediculous, i did a n/t eclipse belts, radiator hoses, all tune up items, and clutch for 300$ labor ... he provided all the parts about 250-400$ in parts.

Are you sure the slave cylinder is in the bellhousing? Looking up the labor times, All Data Pro sets it to be a 0.6 labor rate. I dont think youll drop the trans in a half hour =p and a clutch replacement is almost 5 hours labor rate. and there isent that much more to do after dropping the trans to replace a clutch. But if it is in the bellhousing and it really only pays .6, I'd hate to be the tech who lost their shirt on that job. I havent had to touch any of the clutch system in my car yet, so I havent really looked at it.

95% of Nissans the slave is outside of the Trans.

Only car I've come across with the slave IN the trans is the Focus ST Sedans.

*shrug* I'll see when I have to do it to my car =o

i believe that the 06 lancers have it outside of the tranny while the 02-03 have it inside..... i may be wrong but it could be why it says the amount of labor for All Data Pro....
