New clutch/flywheel...Resurfacing???

So im getting a new clutch and flywheel installed and I read on the instructions that you have to resurface the flywheel prior to installation??? IS this true or did I just misread the instructions? Shouldn't they have manufactured it to be perfectly flat already? Oh by the way they are Clutchmasters.

you should only have to resurface your flywheel if you are using your existing flywheel with a new clutch kit... btw what kinda of flywheel are you getting and what kind of clutch kit are you getting...
