i would go with the GRIP springs. i installed mine myself 2 weeks ago and couldnt be happier. I didnt want the car slammed to the floor but this lowers it just right imo. i have no complaints with bottoming out as a lot of people with lowered cars do. these are on my daily driver and i have had no problems so far. if you want a drop without killing your stock shocks and scratching the front of your bumper i would go with the GRIPS

Whenever you upgrade the stock springs you need to upgrade the shocks as well whether or not the springs require shock upgrades.

I would say if you are even considering coil overs just do yourself a favor and save up for them. You'll save yourself from the future upgrade to coil overs and you'll get a much better ride out of coil overs as well as the perfect drop for you(since you can easily adjust the height). The coolest thing I would say you can get out of coil overs is, if you live in a small town with crappy roads you can adjust the ride height to sit 1"-2" lower from the stock height and if you go to the track you can just bring a car jack and lower the car to a more aggressive stance for a fun track day.
