Trouble getting into reverse and 2nd gear grinds?

I just got my TWM short shifter in and im going to hold off on this until i get this sorted out first. Some times from start up I can't get into reverse until i do a few things such as, gearing into first/letting it roll/revving the engine. It's really annoying.

Also my 2nd year doesn't like to be rushed for some reason. When i really try to take off from first to second gear it grinded a few times. Actually havent said that i think this is the 4th time it has grinded. should this be taken into mitsu to have it checked?

Cold fluids will do this. Has it ever happened once the car is fully warmed?

not to my knowledge. How could this be a problem with the fluids?

cold tranny fluid will make shifting a bit "tougher/notchier"

Just let the car warm up first and you should not see this as much. Just about every manual car I have driven will sometimes need a bit of love to get it into reverse.
