So I installed my B&M short shifter this weekend, and wow what a difference. I got it for $129 at intensepower.com and it was worth every penny. The shifting is a lot stiffer and i like it that way, each shift it self feels like its hardly moving.
The install was fairly easy, ive never installed a shifter before so it took me about 45 minutes, but the instructions that came with it were pretty good. I had to check on the forums for the howto on removing the center console, other then that it was simple. Already had all the tools needed.
I'm probably going to order some shifting bushings to make the shift even better, I like driving my car a little more because of the way it feels now. Only problem is im holding my clutch down to long since im still used to the way it used to drive. That and the shift knob gets really hot in the hot temperatures of arizona.
I would recommend to anybody to put a short shifter in your upgrade path.

Yes it does. And it gets quite cold in the Winter too. I'm experimenting with ways to make a cover for the knob, if not for driving, at least for insulating the knob while it's parked.
